Quinn Kelsey and pianist Craig Ketter will appear together in recital this winter, performing music by beloved American and English composers. The program includes selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs, as well as songs based on the poetry of Langston Hughes by Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, and John Alden Carpenter. In the second half, Kelsey and Ketter will perform Gerald Finzi’s beloved song cycle, Let Us Garlands Bring, and will conclude with Ralph Vaughn Williams’ sweeping Songs of Travel.
The duo will perform at Cleveland’s Cultural Arts Center at Disciples Church on February 3, presented by the Cleveland Chamber Music Society, and at The Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater on March 1, presented by Vocal Arts DC.
