Quinn Kelsey sings the title role in Verdi’s Macbeth this fall at The Metropolitan Opera, under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

It marks a welcome return to the opera for the baritone, who debuted the role this past May at the Royal Danish Theatre Gala, where Opera Now praised his performance as “gripping in its humanity.” Kelsey’s interpretations of Verdi roles—most notably the title role in Rigoletto—have earned acclaim for their “elegance and tenderness.” (The New York Times)

Kelsey is joined by a star-studded cast featuring featuring Lise Davidsen as Lady Macbeth, Rafael Dávila and Freddie De Tommaso alternating as Macduff, and Ryan Speedo Green as Banquo. The production will also be transmitted worldwide as part of The Met: Live in HD series on October 17.
