Quinn Kelsey performs two concert versions of Verdi’s Macbeth as part of The Royal Danish Theatre Gala. The concert also will feature soprano Lise Davidsen under the baton of Antonio Pappano on May 15 and 17.

These performances mark Kelsey’s debut with the company and his role debut as Macbeth, a role he reprises at The Metropolitan Opera this fall. Kelsey’s interpretations of the title role in Verdi’s Rigoletto—a signature role for the baritone—have been praised for their “elegance and tenderness.” (The New York Times)

Kelsey is joined by a star-studded cast featuring Alexander Köpeczi as Banquo, Freddie De Tommaso as Macduff, Gisela Stille as Lady Macbeth’s lady-in-waiting, Jacob Skov Andersen as Malcolm, Kyungil Ko as Macbeth’s servant/physician, Dong Huy Kim as a herald/assassin, James Berry as the First Apparition, Ramund Rindel Peulicke as the Second Apparition, and Ferdinand Luis Lundberg Vingtoft as the Third Apparition.
